From January to May this year, a total of 7126 China Europe freight trains were operated, transporting 774000 TEUs of goods, an increase of 16% and 31% year-on-year, respectively, with a heavy container rate of 100%; Among them, 1515 trains were launched in May, transporting 165000 TEUs of goods, an increase of 13% and 29% year-on-year, respectively. Since May 2020, China Europe freight trains have operated over a thousand trains per month for 36 consecutive months.

Since this year, China National Railway Group Corporation has made good use of the opportunity of tapping the potential and improving efficiency of port stations and expanding the capacity to build rear channels and assembly centers. Its transport capacity and efficiency have been continuously enhanced, further improving the quality of China Europe regular trains, and injecting strong momentum into high-level opening up and the construction of "the Belt and Road". From January to May, a total of 3553, 1301, and 2272 trains were operated on the West, Central, and East channels respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 21%, 18%, and 8%.

The regular operation of the China Europe freight train from Baoji to five Central Asian countries, the first China Europe freight train from Houma, Shanxi to Central Asian countries, and the first grain return freight train from Uralsk, Kazakhstan to Wuhan... The railway department has made meticulous arrangements for planning according to changes in market demand, comprehensively increasing cross-border transportation volume, and promoting the expansion of China Europe freight train routes towards Central Asia, increasing freight volume, and making transportation more smooth, Contribute railway strength to the construction of the China Central Asia community with a shared future. In May, the number of China EU trains bound for Central Asia increased significantly, with the daily average delivery of 841 vehicles at Khorgos Port, the best level of monthly delivery. The number of trains and goods delivered increased by 75.5% and 103.4% respectively year on year.

Each port station strengthens communication and contact with customs, border inspection, and foreign railway departments, continuously optimizes the port clearance mode, cargo organization, and handover process, and achieves rapid grouping and shipment of inbound and outbound trains. In the first five months of this year, there were 2057, 1496, 1918, 1301 and 354 China Europe regular trains passing through Alashankou, Khorgos, Manzhouli, Erlian and Suifenhe railway ports, respectively, and the number of goods delivered increased by 20.4%, 84.2%, 17.9%, 29.7% and 29.9% year on year.

As of the end of May, there are 34 domestic cities that have operated over 100 China Europe freight trains, reaching 213 cities in 25 European countries.
